Olaf shom Kirtimukh


One of a very few expatriate Indian novelists writing in English to have chosen to live in a non-Anglophone country, born in 1963, in his youth, Olaf worked as a copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather in New Delhi and New York. He was awarded the Bombay Ad Club, Creative Artists’ Guild and the Jock Elliott International Good Citizenship prizes for his contributions to public service advertising. He has an honours degree in English Letters and has read modern and medieval theology at the Vatican’s Pontifical Urbanian University. Author of historical romances, translator (Italian to English) of scholarly studies, since 1998 he has been Business and Legal English advisor at the Roman branch of the Trinity College of London. Olaf regularly conducts masterclasses of IELTS, in particular at the LUISS university; at the LUMSA university of Rome, he is, currently, docent of English Scientific Writing for graduate students majoring in psychology.
